ESW is developing proprietary new sealing technologies that allow manufacturers in the Windows industry (including glass companies) to produce VIGUs that meet the highest standards for durability and reliability ever achieved.

ESW’s Solution includes four principal thrusts:

1. A Flexible Gas-Tight Metal Edge Seal that allows the individual panes of a VIGU (or IGU) to expand and contract independently, in response to different – and changing – inside and outside temperatures. The Flexible Metal Edge Seal, which itself expands and contracts (like an accordion), is a revolutionary new design. It improves the reliability and durability of window seals significantly while providing high thermal resistance.
   
   
2. A Metal-to-Glass Diffusion Bonding Process that creates truly hermetic, permanent seals.
   
   
3. A nearly invisible Standoff System that maintains consistent separation of the panes in a VIGU.
   
   
4. The design and specifications for a full-scale turnkey production line (equipment and processes) required by licensees manufacturing ESW’s VIGUs.
